PODIATRIST DISCUSSES COVID TOES
posted: May 11, 2020.
What are Covid toes? They are purple and red lesions on a patient's feet and toes. Covid Toes appear in COVID-19 patients who don't exhibit any other symptoms. Covid toes can disappear in the course of 10 days, but other patients progress to respiratory symptoms. This new symptom appears in more children and young adults than any other age group.

According to podiatrist Jason Crilley, DPM, "It appears more on the toes, but sometimes on the bottom of the foot. It looks almost like a rash, but without blistering. It's more of a purplish to red red hue. It's generally blotchy and well defined in spots. In some patients, they have no other symptoms except for the skin manifestations."
