Jim Belushi, Savient Pharmaceuticals and CreakyJoints Join Forces to Raise Awareness on Gout

In relation to Gout Awareness Day, actor Jim Belushi, Savient Pharmaceutical and CreakyJoints, a patient advocacy group, have joined together in designing an educational video about gout. Having had the condition for over 15 years, Belushi knows a thing or two about what the often misunderstood condition is and how to live with it.

Belushi, continues to aim awareness and encourages education about gout to communities. The informative video released on Gout Awareness Day takes on real-world experiences and physician's perspective on the condition. "Gout is a difficult condition to understand unless you or someone you're close to has experienced it," said Belushi, "We hope that this effort will inspire people with gout to speak up and have similarly candid conversations about gout online, in their local communities and with their doctors.”

What is gout?
